WINA PRESENTS: WIRELESS DEPLOYMENTS IN SUPPORT OF FEDERAL MANDATES TO REDUCE ENERGY CONSUMPTION

The Wireless Industrial Networking Alliance (WINA), expert wireless resource for the industrial market, will presented a live webinar on wireless deployments in support of the Federal Mandate to dramatically reduce energy consumption. The webinar was presented by Dr. Peter Fuhr, CTO, Apprion and Chairman of WINA, on Wednesday, June 24th.

Participants learned about the progress made by several real world deployments in support of the Federal Mandate issued by the United States Government to reduce energy across all federal agencies, an initiative coupled with financial incentives in the private sector to enhance efficiency and reduce energy in Industrial applications.

In each case, wireless was a key enabler, or frequently served as the only option, in dramatically lowering the initial cost of deployment and speeding the deployment time, both critical in today's economic climate but even more critical given federally mandated deadlines for compliance. Case studies discussed included building automation, energy usage analysis in commercial application and industrial process monitoring.
